Marilyn began her pastoral ministry in 1986 with her husband John in Raleigh, NC. There they nurtured a Mennonite Church plant and co-pastored for 18 years. She graduated from Eastern Mennonite College and received a Master of Arts in Christian Spiritual Formation at Eastern Mennonite Seminary.
Upon moving to Pittsburgh and then Allentown, PA, she was employed by Ten Thousand Villages for 10 years. Marilyn joined the pastoral team at Ripple in May 2017. Alongside her pastoral work, she has training in Spiritual Direction and works as Program Coordinator for Ripple Community Inc.
Marilyn, has three daughters scattered across the U.S.: St. Louis, MO, Pasadena, CA, and Washington D.C. Marilyn enjoys visiting her children and grandchildren, playing games, making music, watching birds in the backyard, hiking, and visiting national parks.
